Certificate of University Preparation for International Students Level 3 (Concordia course)
This programme prepares students for first year entry to a range of degree courses at various universities and polytechnics in New Zealand and overseas. This is a transition programme, equivalent to year 13 in New Zealand, year 12 or matriculation in Australia, A levels in United Kingdom and Higher School Certificate level offered in some countries.

Programme Content
The programme includes the following: effective written production, reading academic texts, listening effectively in academic contexts, effective oral communication, nderstanding workplace culture, employability skills, introduction to research, referencing and plagiarism, business environment and administration, computer skills – effective use of Word/Excel/PowerPoint, mathematics and statistics, project management, presentation skills.
Pathways
The foundation programme provides a pathway to tertiary studies at various institutions. (Note that some institutions require proof of English Language proficiency via IELTS or other internationally recognised test.)
Entry Requirements
- Minimum 17 years of age (international students).
- Successful completion of New Zealand year 12 secondary schooling; or O levels with a pass grade of D; or equivalent.
- International students for whom English is not their first language require IELTS 5 with no band score lower than 5 (or the equivalent level of English)
